Lauderhill Performing Arts Center
Lauderhill, Florida
A 1,106-seat performing arts center with an attached library, built for a city and its community — projects of this scale are defined by the quality of their early decisions. The right team, the right program, the right foundation.

For the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in South Florida, Andrés Cortés served as construction manager and owner's advisor through the project's critical front-end phase, establishing the conditions that allowed the City of Lauderhill to carry it confidently through to completion.

Andrés led the selection of the design and construction management teams, refined the building program, and supported the City's fundraising strategy — the upstream work that determines whether a project of this ambition is achievable before a single line is drawn.
Coordinating between the City, design team, and key stakeholders, the focus was on protecting the owner's interests and ensuring full alignment between the community's vision and the project's trajectory.
With that foundation in place, the City drew on its own resources and staff to see the project through — delivering a LEED Silver certified facility equipped with modern lighting and sound systems suited to the full range of performances its programming demands.
The result is a genuine civic asset: a performing arts center and library that serves Lauderhill with the scale and ambition its community deserves.
